Simon speaks all over America on issues of brain damage and recovery. Amongst leaders of the medical community who have invited Simon to speak, are the Immediate Past President of the American Rehabilitation Providers Association, whose members provide medical service to more than 700,000 people annually and who heads Congressional lobbying for the care of returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan where TBI is the signature injury. In addition to appearances on TV, Simon has a pending interview by a magazine distributed to the disabled population of the southeastern United States, and writes reviews of books on medical topics.

His advocacy for stroke recovery continues to grow. Recently, he was invited to speak in Japan. His example is important for the estimated 10 million people worldwide who suffer traumatic brain injuries each year and who have a compelling interest in the account of a survivor who found the path to recovery.
